FRANKSEA
YACHT OPERATIONS PLATFORM

A first look

This is an early working preview of FrankSea — the onboard platform I'm building to replace the mess of OneDrive folders, spreadsheets and templates every yacht runs on. It isn't finished. Four of the tools work properly end to end; the rest are there to show where it's going. It starts on an invented boat with made-up crew, so put your own crest on it and drop your own files in. Everything stays on your own device — nothing is uploaded anywhere, and I can't see what you do with it.

The four worth playing with

  1. Crew list — drag your own crew list in, toggle the columns, save a polished PDF.
  2. Leave request — fill it in as a stewardess, choose who signs, then change "Signed in as" at the bottom and sign it as the HOD and the captain. It files itself when it's done.
  3. Handover notes — drop in a note, dictate one, paste a screenshot. It tidies it and files it. Then open the handover document.
  4. Crew flights — quotes, reimbursements and deductions, with live exchange rates.

Also worth a look: open a library on the left and dig into the folders, and switch "Signed in as" to a deckhand to see what disappears.

What the real thing will be

This preview is here to give you the feel of it. The finished FrankSea carries the whole set of built-in systems — crew profiles, itineraries, cabin plans, letters, expenses, passports and visas, provisioning, inventories, drills and minutes — all on your own crest, all talking to each other, so a name typed once appears everywhere it belongs.

One more that is coming: hand FrankSea the tired spreadsheets you have been carrying between boats for years and it hands them back fresh — formulas repaired, your crest on them, formatting consistent, and every figure exactly as it was.

Nothing here leaves your computer. There is no server behind this preview and no account. Everything you drop in is read in your own browser and stays there, which means we cannot see any of it.

Then tell me honestly — what's missing, what's in the wrong place, what you'd never use, and what would actually save you an hour. Pick it apart. That's what it's for.
